Raising Cane’s Trespass Incident: Police Investigate Viral Social Media Claim

Police investigated a viral social media claim of inappropriate behavior at Raising Cane's. Officers found no sexual activity, issuing trespass notices instead. The incident, involving two individuals, was falsely amplified online as 'intercourse.'
Authorities noted that 2 individuals were resting carefully together behind-the-scenes booth. A person informed cops that an additional staff member– that had currently left the restaurant and declined to speak to police– declared to see “pulling” under a covering and that someone later on remained on the other’s lap. Police officers did not independently see those actions, according to the record.
It’s unclear why that staff member really did not wish to talk with policemans. But it is clear no sex-related fees were filed. Rather, both people were provided trespass notifications and barred from the dining establishment. The event was documented as a criminal trespass instance.
We asked for the police record. When officers arrived, they did not witness any kind of sexual activity, the report states.
